Early Life and Education

Syedi Lukmanji Bin Habibullah A.Q. was born in Rampura in 1099 H. From an early age, he showed remarkable aptitude for learning and spiritual discipline. His initial education was under the guidance of Syedi Khanji Feer Saheb A.Q., who nurtured his foundational knowledge of Islamic studies. Later, he received further training and personal mentorship from Syedi Abdul Qadar Hakimuddin A.Q., who oversaw his moral, spiritual, and scholarly development.

Even as a young student, Syedi Lukmanji demonstrated dedication to both learning and service, ensuring that his studies were accompanied by ethical conduct and devotion to the Dawat.

Expertise and Contributions

Syedi Lukmanji A.Q. grew into a Hafizul Quran and became highly proficient in multiple Islamic sciences, including Ulum (knowledge), Haqaeq (spiritual truths), and Fiqeh (jurisprudence). His mastery of these fields made him a respected scholar and guide in his community.

He also contributed significantly to the preservation of knowledge by authoring many accurate and reliable manuscripts. His hand-written works are still preserved in the archives of Dawat, serving as valuable references for future generations.

Throughout his life, he faithfully served three successive Duat – the 38th, 39th, and 40th Dai, performing his duties with humility and excellence. His devotion extended to regular Namaz at the Masjid, and he also observed Dawood Roza, exemplifying both scholarship and piety.

Hajj Intention and Obedience

During the time of Syedna Vajihuddin R.A., Syedi Lukmanji intended to perform Hajj and traveled to Surat fully prepared. However, by the instruction of Syedna Moayyed R.A., he was advised not to proceed. Despite this, he accepted the decision with complete obedience and continued to serve the Dawat diligently, ensuring the smooth functioning of its systems and administration.

His actions reflected both patience and unwavering loyalty to the guidance of the Duat, setting a model for discipline and service in the community.

Final Resting Place

Syedi Lukmanji A.Q. passed away at the age of 74 in Surat. His funeral was led by Syedna Moayyed R.A., signifying his respected position and devotion to the Dawat. He was laid to rest in Qubba Najmiyah, beside Syedna Yusuf Najmuddin R.A., where his resting place continues to be a site of spiritual reflection and reverence for the Mumineen.

Syedi Lukmanji’s life is remembered for his scholarship, devotion, and steadfast service. His preserved manuscripts and contributions to the Dawat serve as an enduring legacy for future generations. His commitment to obedience, knowledge, and spiritual discipline makes his life an inspiring example for those following the path of faith and service.
