Early Life and Background

Al Maula Mulla Jafarji Jiwaji (Q.R.) was widely known among the Kathiyawad Mumineen as “Babji”. He was respected for his spiritual insight, karamaat (miracles), and deep devotion. During his lifetime, he served under the 42nd Dai, Syedna Yusuf Najmuddin R.A., and was known to resolve difficult matters and guide Mumineen with wisdom and patience.

His contributions included assisting Mumineen in daily life and providing guidance for resolving conflicts, demonstrating both spiritual and practical leadership. Many of his miracles and acts of generosity are still remembered by the community.

Spiritual Service and Karamaat

Al Maula Mulla Jafarji Jiwaji (Q.R.) was known to perform karamaat recognized by thousands of Mumineen.

During the visits of 51st Dai Syedna Taher Saifuddin (RA) and 52nd Dai Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (RA) to Amreli, an incident occurred where a fire broke out in a room adjacent to the place where Syedna had gathered. Al Maula Mulla Jafarji Jiwaji (Q.R.) assisted by following Syedna’s instructions to bring water, and through Syedna’s dua, the fire was brought under control. This incident is often cited as a miraculous display of faith and service.

His dedication continues to inspire Mumineen to seek guidance and blessings through his legacy.

Legacy in Amreli

Al Maula Mulla Jafarji Jiwaji’s khidmat continues to benefit Amreli’s Mumineen:

  • His prayers and barakaat have blessed around 180–185 houses in Amreli.

  • The community has 12 Mohallas, and there are four Masjids, one of which is currently under construction to expand for future generations.

  • His Mazaar Mubarak now includes modern rooms, a playground for children, and facilities for Mumineen, ensuring that visitors are served with respect and convenience.

Through the blessings of Aqa Maula (TUS), the area has grown spiritually and socially, making Amreli a center of faith and Dawat activities.

Contributions by Later Dai

  • In Hijri 1431, Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (RA) ordered the establishment of new rooms and Masjid facilities at the Mazaar.

  • Renovations and expansions were continued in Hijri 1432 and 1433, enhancing the infrastructure for Mumineen and visitors.

  • In Safar 1437, Shz Idris BS Badruddin DM Shaheb inaugurated a new Madresa, continuing the tradition of education and spiritual guidance.

Final Resting Place

Al Maula Mulla Jafarji Jiwaji (Q.R.) passed away during the tenure of the 43rd Dai, Syedna Abdeali Saifuddin R.A. His Qubba Mubarak is in Amreli, surrounded by a spacious Mazaar area, a cemetery, and children’s playground, making it a well-maintained spiritual and community hub.
